The story behind
With Fouets et Tartan, Virginie Jamin offers a new reinterpretation of emblematic equestrian designs from the House and the Émile Hermès collections. A graphic reinterpretation of the Fouets et Badines scarf originally created in 2017, the design now highlights a new composition of whips and riding crops with a more modern, streamlined look. The plaid is printed on the frame using the same technique as for the silk scarves, then enhanced with hand embroidery. Beads in different shades are set into the design like a halo of light, playing with contrasts and bright colors.
