The story behind
Inspired by a classic botanical work by Pierre-Joseph Buchoz (1731-1807), “L'Histoire Universelle des Vegetaux”, Gianpaolo Pagni offers his interpretation of a coconut tree. He layers his engraving with stamps in geometric shapes reminiscent of coconuts. But who wants to be hit on the head with a coconut? For a softer, lighter touch, Gianpaolo Pagni transforms these exotic fruits into party favors, creating the “Cocotillons” design.
