The story behind
Based on the Clic-Clac scarf design
This classic design by Julie Abadie from the late 1970s resonates with the clattering of carriages and magnificent teams of horses. Its dynamic composition reveals the sinuous lines of a pair of leather blinkers, and the elegant interlacing formed by late 19th-century English horsewhips. The handles in blackthorn are adorned with silver rings and pommels. The inspiration for these illustrations? The treasures found in the Émile Hermès collection. And repeating these lines, the other side of Clic-Clac pulsates with vibrant colors applied to the same simplified forms and embellished with geometric patterns that give it a kinetic rhythm.
