Champ de Courses a Chantilly, Maurice Taquoy
A talented painter and illustrator of the late 19th century, Maurice Taquoy invites us to Chantilly for a sun-drenched day at the races. The jockeys are prepared, their vibrant silks awaiting them along the border of this triangle. Whether plain or patterned, these garments bear the proud colours of their owners. On the lawn, spectators gather to applaud the victor, who will soon be crowned with laurels.
