The Story behind
With a kick of its hoof, the winged horse and divine creature from Greek mythology, Pegasus, created a spring named Hippocrene on Mount Helicon in Greece. Designer Pierre-Marie Agin depicts a radiant Pegasus, accompanied by nine Muses quenching their thirst at the foot of the spring and dancing a farandole, in a joyous and fantastic setting, as earthly as it is cosmic.
