The story behind
Drawn with clean lines, their necks and muzzles are elongated by their speed. Captured in profile, Jean-Louis Sauvat's horses are at a full gallop, their silhouettes revealing the hand of a painter, sculptor and rider who is himself a practitioner of dressage. A sense of fluidity and dynamism emanates from this design, evoking both the grandeur of ancient friezes and the breathless energy of a race along the shore.
