The story behind

Inspired by the saddlery catalogue in the Émile Hermès collection, designer Tong Ren's Selle Craft is a modern, graphic expression of saddle design. Each motif on the saddle lends itself to an exploration of textile textures and weaves to create an exceptional piece that blends artisanal know-how with the equestrian world. Each element features its own embroidery technique, creating a patchwork of different and colorful embroidery. These include cross-stitch – a technique used for the first time on a plaid – combined with appliqued cashmere to bring the fabric to life.
