The story behind

Kaorumi is a collection of fruit ready to be tasted. Sliced kiwi, peeled oranges, and pomegranate wedges are all laid out on white porcelain, which accentuates their vibrant shapes. For this collection of 12 dessert plates and cake dishes, Ryo Takemasa drew the fruits with a compass and ruler before composing their delicate shades and textures. But, they've also been given an added twist: their perfectly symmetrical details and whimsical proportions transform a botanical study into a feast of fruits. Their colors are so fresh that the porcelain exudes the aroma and flavor of the fruit or, as it's known in Japanese, Kaorumi. Trimmed in gold, the collection is an invitation to share and celebrate poetry.
