Cordelie carpets, entirely hand-embroidered, are the fruit of a long assembly based on exceptional know-how. A cotton cord is applied on a linen backing using an embroidering hook to draw, as with a pencil, lines and flat planes of geometric compositions.

The story behind
The Cordélie H Dots rug is composed of simple shapes that subtly reveal an H. Bringing his designs to life with stamps, Gianpaolo Pagni has developed a repertoire of shapes that range from circles to lines and rectangles, and plays with full and empty spaces, shapes and counter-shapes, to give the rug texture. The entirely hand-embroidered Cordélie rugs are the result of a long production process and exceptional know-how. A cotton cord is applied to a linen base using an embroidery hook to draw the lines and flat tints of the geometric compositions as if with a pencil.
