The story behind
Whether lined up on the pages of illustrated catalogues or displayed on the shelves of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré store, the Émile Hermès collection abounds with dog collars and leashes, each more inspiring than the last. Since the 1890s, the Maison has dedicated a wide range of accessories to our faithful companions. Perhaps it was while admiring them in the Faubourg window displays, one day in 1927, that a client suggested transforming these studded collars into belts – an idea that inspired Hermès to create leather goods and jewelry. Daiske Nomura revisits this heritage with humor and fantasy, playfully adorning us with leather, bells, and studs.
