A Walk in the Garden tea box

The story behind

Twigs, leaves and grasses sprout through the grid, checkered and herringbone patterns, composing an imaginary garden at the table. A Walk in the Garden is a dreamlike stroll somewhere between the figurative and the abstract, through colorful designs that appear to have been drawn directly on the porcelain. From shrub to pathway, Nigel Peake – Hermès partner designer – has allowed his pencil to glide, freehand, inspired by an English garden, a place where forms and colors grow, a place to let the imagination run free, beautiful in its studied disarray.
