The story behind

A virtuoso of floral design, Théo de Gueltzl found a new source of inspiration in an engraving from the Émile Hermès collection. Light, agile horse-drawn carriages were the height of fashion in 18th and 19th-century France. These carriages were often ill-suited to the cobblestones of Paris; nevertheless, the city feels far away here. Lost within a luxuriant botanical paradise, this carriage attracts the curiosity of mischievous monkeys who mistake its suspension and wheels for climbing vines. A wild yet refined sanctuary, just a wheel's turn away.
