The story behind
The Amalthee box features new contrasting bead and silk thread embroidery which adds volume to the design. The Perspectives Indiennes design was taken from the Hermès archives. It comes from a page composed of several designs created by Germaine Dutfoy. A designer at Hermès in the 1930s, she is behind many designs and accessories for a variety of the House's métiers, from clothing to travel cases. The Perspectives Indiennes design was created for a leather travel pillow with overstitched leather appliqués. Now, it has been given a second life on the hand-embroidered leather-trimmed boxes. Three formats of this box are available: 4 watches and jewelry, 6 watches and cuff links and 8 watches.
