The story behind

The art of hand-painted designs, also known as the art of highly skilled technique, is all about mastering colors and brushes, and delicately guiding the line on the porcelain. The Jeu d'Adresse collection represents a new era of vases with modern lines and generous proportions. They are finished with a gold border applied by hand using a brush. Each piece is unique and conveys the craftsman's technique and expertise. On this design – which artist Evan Hecox originally imagined for a silk scarf and produced in gouache – the colors are deep and textured. The design combines letters to form Hermès 24, which shift and transform like a game of skill, in tribute to the iconic store at 24 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore.
