The story behind
The Casaque box features the “Perspectives Indiennes” design in leather marquetry. This technique requires great care in the preparation of the leather pieces so that when assembled, each piece fits together to the nearest tenth of a millimeter, creating a unique surface despite the different grain of each leather. Taken from the Hermès historical archives, this graphic design comes from a page made up of several drawings for a leather travel cushion, complete with stitched leather applications. Today, it takes on a new life in brightly-colored boxes that contrast with the mahogany. The case is available in three colors and four sizes: 8 watches, 6 watches and cufflinks, cigars and a poker set (to discover in the “games” category of the site).
