The story behind
Albert Chamillard is an artist who draws only with a ballpoint pen on notebooks. The lines of this notebook can be found in the background of the front of the blanket, while a link forming an "H" sits in the foreground. The back is surprising: the link is replaced with a tartan pattern in deep colors.
When Albert Chamillard talks about his drawings, he describes them as very personal and only gives them meaning once they are finished, never before. Anchor Chain 17 is about the emotional experience of being alive, where unconnected feelings make us who we are as human beings. But time also plays a role. 17 is also the age of the artist's daughter. His drawing is a representation of the future, which is not fully formed, but it gives us a direction.
