The story behind

Against a backdrop of flat colors, four stylized and graphic horse's heads with twisted manes and clean, crisp outlines are decorated with colorful bayadere stripes. The Quadrige scarf designed by Pierre Péron in 1973, depicts horses heads nested in pairs like a jigsaw puzzle. It is named after the quadriga racing chariot of antiquity. Pulled by a team of four horses, the quadriga inspired famous equestrian statues such as those at the Grand Palais in Paris and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. In this reinterpretation of the composition, the heads of the frames are decorated with wide multi-colored stripes.
