The story behind

This long cardigan in Twillaine (a mix of silk twill and wool knit), incorporates the Panoplie Équestre silk scarf – the first time it has been blended with a garment. The silk scarf panels are edged with wool stitching. The chevron motifs give the piece a graphic, contemporary look. The cardigan can be worn with a belt or worn loose.
The story behind the design: the Panoplie Équestre scarf was inspired by an early-19th-century illustrated catalogue of equestrian goods in the collection of Émile Hermès. The catalogues were used to promote manufacturers’ wares in Europe.
