From 11th to 30th July, Tokyo’s National Art Center masquerades as a film set for an artistic experience. Moving from one scene to the next, the fascinating and mysterious Hermès woman reveals her personality through the star pieces in the Autumn-Winter 2018 collection. An experience conceived by director and curator Laure Flammarion.
Silence on Set!
The scene is set: the museum has been transformed into a vast cinema studio, where the portrait of a woman is being filmed. This is the woman that Bali Barret, the artistic director of the women's universe at Hermès, and Nadège Vanhée-Cybulski, the artistic director of women's ready-to-wear, depict day after day. She is free, majestic, mysterious, sensual and passionate.
The guests will take part in this experience, as actors or spectators. Each step will reveal a different facet of this spellbinding woman.
The art of cinema allows us to travel back and forth through time and, in particular, through seasons. The Hermès film set transports us to Autumn-Winter 2018, a collection that tells the story of this woman on the move. Each garment, each accessory bears her distinct stamp.
On Tuesday 10th July, at the opening-night party, the guests took part in the first hours of this experience.
