Hermes' flatware is dishwasher safe. In order to preserve its brightness, please observe the following recommendations.
- Before first use, wash it by hand with a sponge in soapy water. Then wipe with soft, dry cloth.
- The flatware that has been in contact with acidic food (salad dressing, lemon, egg…) must be rinsed as soon as possible in warm water.
- Before each wash, separate stainless-steel pieces from silver plated pieces.
- Put the knives in the dishwasher basket, blade downward to let the water flow easily over the blades.
- Use the same brand of wash and rinse products.
- Open the machine door at the end of the cycle to avoid condensation marks on the blades.
- Use a cleaning product best adapted to the finish of your flatware.
